It's a good thing I enjoy the process, because this car restoration (resto-mod?) has been a long time coming.
But! My 1974 Toyota Corolla is finally starting to head in the right direction. You saw me start the engine rebuilds in the previous video where I 3D printed the timing gear and made the DIY timing wheel to dial in the custom camshaft (as well as some 3D prints for the workshop).

I'm pretty happy with this custom 3D printed switch panel and am looking forward to incorporating it in the dash and having everything looking OEM+
And there's already been a fair bit more progress on the design, so keep your eyes out for that one.

Because I'm also like a whirlwind as I move around the workshop, I've also made a bunch more progress on the 180sx, the Stagea, the KE70 as well as the spare KE25, which I don't want to give too much away about yet (but I think it's gonna be pretty cool...)

I'm enjoying being able to really get stuck into some designs as well, instead of doing a bunch of 80% solutions for everything that I'm not entirely happy with.

Generally speaking, when I'm designing things I like them to look like they "belong". Like they could have come from the factory that way. So I took some inspiration from the factory style of the dash and tried to make a switch panel that looks like it's fresh off the production line at TRD in 1974 (pretend they started 5 years earlier).

I'm tempted to write "I've been lacking motivation" but really, motivation follows discipline. And discipline follows priorities... And I've had other priorities 👶.

But I'm feeling good about these and can't wait to get it into the car as I piece it back together after completing the dialling in of the camshaft.
